A pre-reg's first month

It's been almost a month since I stepped into the workforce

Time passes by slowly and quickly (sometimes fast sometimes slow I dunno why..)

It did not turn out as expected, in a rather good way

I expected a stressful working environment (it gets stressful still, but not in a stress to please people way, meaning, not much politics, or rather, im pampered by colleagues)

I expected an all-english environment (nope we talk in singlish, mandarin, hokkien, malay, teochew...etc. in the pharmacy)

I expected all work no studies (yea I got this one wrong, it's work + studies!!! double dose of hardwork everyday!!!)

So yea, being the minority, I'm taken care by all the colleagues there

People are so helpful that sometimes i must refuse the help kindly

What more to say? Colleagues are organising a trip to JB for a makan trip..

Yes, we're getting along well :)

And they would bring me out to good foods!

Pharmacy people can seriously eat! Which is good! haha!

As time goes by, the more I learn, the more things I am able to do

And of course, then it comes responsibilities

To be able to interact with patients, and to make a positive change in his/her life is something that I strive to achieve everyday

And to point out critical clinical corrections, is definitely a rewarding process for me as a pre-reg pharmacist

It makes me feel like, oh yeah, I didn't waste the past 5 years in uni!

But of course, being a mediocre pharmacy student, my clinical knowledge is definitely not up to standard

Talk about studying hard in uni, I surely did not do well in that area of my life haha!

But hopefully it's not too late, hope the experience in pharmacy would open it up for me

And the drive and determination to learn more would help me to strive...

Waking up early in the morning is something that I try very hard to do since then..

Sometimes the thought of "what should I do in order to continue earn money and don't work?"

That's a question for 5 yr old, simply "NO"

But keep the imagination and vision alive, who knows someday it might happen :p

There's plenty to do in pharmacy..

I'm happy to give a jobscope preview :)

And of course many stories & encounters with doctors and patients to tell!

This job gives me the opportunity to train my patience, alertness, multi-tasking skills, communication skills with many languages and of course problem solving ability and self discipline

I'm lucky enough to not worry about the salary and just focus on learning new stuff at work

Guess that's the right focus that I'm having, hopefully!

Altho I want my Volvo and bungalow badly, but those don't come without smart and relentless efforts

OK, jus a start, fight hard!!
