The Blind Side

The Blind Side
The latest movie by Sandra Bullock

It's a true story of Michael Oher, a famous and humble American football star
He was once a orphan, living on the streets, hustling for foods, and have no comfortable place to sleep at cold winter night...
And then it came Leigh Anne Tuohy and the Tuohy's family
They kept him and treated him like a member of their own!
There's no better feeling of being accepted when you feel like the whole world is going against you...
In return, Michael repaid them with the joy and care he brought into the family
And for sure, the happiest person in the world would be Leigh Anne, she just loves him~
And Michael, he's just CUTE!!!!!!

What more can I say about the movie??
WATCH IT!!!

Another experience of the week...
CLINICAL!!!!!
Which simply means a visit to the hospital to review patient's medical record with 3 other course mates and a funny lecturer~
8am in the hospital, busy as expected...
Doctors and staff members rushing in, pharmacist getting ready at their desk, which where they would never be back for the rest of the day until the night...
Delivery man pushing trolley everywhere to deliver goods and medicines...
Security walking around to ensure everything's fine...
Nurses rushing in and out of the wards to make sure patients were doing well...
And yea, a few students and a lecturer trying to fit in their busy day~

At first, a walk around the pharmacy department of the hospital
It was HUGE!!! Drugs everywhere!!!
Like I said, if you're not brave enough to rob a bank, probably hospital's pharmacy department would be a good idea~
Ironically, I can't imagine a small lab could provide a big supply for chemo drugs for the whole hospital, it's really small...which could fit 2-3 people at a time?
I wondered......
Well anyway, pharmacy department wasn't the main part, we were just getting familiar with the environment~
Here comes the main part...medical records review...
Skip all the INTERESTING parts where we talked about the drugs and patient's condition...
While we were discussing a case outside the wards, we heard voice of an old lady, cried out "help...please...help...please..."
For a first timer like 4 of us...we couldn't help but to worry...
Even our lecturer (a hospital pharmacist) worried for once but he was quickly persuaded by a nurse that it was fine and he went on to persuade us that IT WAS FINE, seriously~
Well, we guessed probably she has screamed for whole night and it reminded me of the story of "Here comes the wolf!"
Poor thing............
She screamed like she was in extreme pain or something...
How could someone leave some body in this stage for that long...probably for 30 minutes?
And yet again, Ahwen was right...she said we would need to go thru' this kinda heart break and try to stay strong...try not to break down...
Sometimes, we just couldn't help but to let it go and hope for the best...
Well no matter what happens, it would be a shame if we lose our kind nature one day just because of helpless stuff like that, would we become relentless? would we just don't care anymore?
Courage is a strange thing, you can have courage no matter if your decision is right or wrong, one thing I hope is that I will not fall and lose the ability or the willingness to differentiate what's good and what's bad...with courage~

How many of us?
Are so fortunate to be able to write a blog post on blogger.com to express feelings like me?
Are so fortunate to be able to get access to the net and read this post?
Are so fortunate to be able to witness how tough others' life are in order to realise how fortunate we really are?

Sometimes people forget, I forget too...
Well, I'm proud to say, I'm just too fortunate to be reminded once in a while that there are people out there, WAY poorer and less having a WAY tougher life that I am...in order to keep my composure...not to be to critical about what I get and what I don't get...simply enjoy life and be thankful, and of course, work hard, as I'm in perfectly comfortable position to do so, I ain't striving for foods to survive, all I need to do is to keep reminding myself how to love my life and as well as others'~
