Landed

After a terrific summer holiday, can I say? The best eva!
I'm back in this small A-town~

Everything's pretty much the same, except our usual supermarket Woolworths is under renovation
It made the groceries shopping a little bit tougher but that's ok
Just that I prefer the atmosphere in Woolworths than Coles :b
The locals still talk in a loud voice as usual, the old ones are still as friendly and happy
Everything seems to be pretty normal, however, I'm back with a refreshed heart, pumped and ready to go anytime for the whole year! Hooray! ^^

Well, let's share some of my experience in Darwin......
First of all, I wouldn't go back to Darwin to travel after this trip
Don't get me wrong as Darwin is a good small town, as good as a modern village could get
Just that the weather there, gosh~
I must say, although Malaysia is hot, humid and all...
However, Darwin does it 'better' than Malaysia, it made the experience of eating a BigMac in an air-conditioned McD a pain!

The town area is cute, in a way that no tall buildings to be found anywhere~
Maybe I didn't get to walk in the city long enough to discover something interesting, 'cause it's just too HOT!!!

I thought I would stay in the city till 4.30pm when I reached there around 1.30pm...but I just couldn't wait to get back to the super comfortable hotel lobby and spend my whole day there, so I waited in the office till I can get up the 3.30pm bus~ LOL~
Sat in the office, together with a lady who is working there, tried to help her to change her phone ringtone but it's just too hard~ haha!! And didn't know why her phone's camera is not working as well~ You can imagine how bored while I'm there d~ Well~ It's nice to have somebody to talk to and joke around with especially you're THAT BORED!!!
Finally, the bus arrived~
And I pretty much had a tour around the town area of Darwin as the driver drove to different places to pick people up to the airport~ I must say, it looks a little bit like the suburb area of Perth, however Perth is always nicer, no doubt about it ^^

Ohya! A few hours before heading off to Changi, cousin ShuWei took me out for lunch and some test-drive sessions!!
To bid his farewell, he chose to bring me to Volkswagen's show room to check out the latest Scirocco!!

For sure, it looks stunning and a bit Audi-like since Volkswagen had 'swallowed' Audi just few months ago...lol!
Everything's so high-tech in the car, the leather, the engine, even the smell of the genuine leather was great!!
However, too small a car for me, just like the salesman said, a perfect car for bringing meimei around, not to carry a whole family or frens, haha!!
Too bad, there isn't one to test drive for that time...however, I've got my eyes stuck for Passat CC, gosh, that car had me going!!

Well, before I forget, the tiny little Scirocco actually cost 170,000 ringgit, I wouldn't do it! haha!!
After deciding Scirocco is definitely not my style, I suggested that we go Volvo!
Yes! My favourite car of all time, Volvo S80, my dream car~

Well, if that's too old, how about C70?? I love this car!!!

It would stimulate my saliva glands whenever it came to sight......lol!!
Yet again, we met another nice salesman~ (We didn't expect much since we were on t-shirt, shorts and slippers :b)
He talked and talked and talked even he knew we weren't going to buy since I had told him that I would be going back to Aus a few hours later...
Well, a smart salesman would lock down his client, even client in the future, he even got it all planned out for me...graduate in two years time, come back to Malaysia, become a rich pharmacist and buy a Volvo! And for sure, look for him! LOL~
He offered me to have a test-drive of S40, well, not my style, but test-drive? Why not?

Hmm...I must say bravo to Volvo for adding the blind-spot detecting system on the side mirrors, I think it would be useful for lotsa people~
The steering was not too light, which I like!
The acceleration was fine, as there is no turbo, however, I do believe that this car will go up to 220km/h easily, and more if you want
The manual shifting system is quite responsive, I could feel the torque
The interior, nice just like any other typical Volvo
Overall, a nice car with a reasonable price tag of 170,000 ringgit, suitable for youngsters~
After that, we said byebye and definitely SEE YOU SOON! haha!!
Walked pass Mercedes-Benz, hmmm...not my style either!!! Never been a Merz fans, maybe someday when I'm old??!! Although Volvo is old enough for most people, but I have to mention again, not C70!!
Definitely a worth-while trip, a visit to the car showroom before a flight back to education
Certainly inspiring and motivating~ This will always remind me to work hard towards my goal~

My C70 and a present for dad, S80! (although he loves Toyota Estima so much, I still feel like S80 suits him better :b) gambateh!!!
Appreciate it~~~

Well, Adelaide!!!
The moment I landed, was the moment I start to get busy~ (Well, at least at the first day)
I went to settle some of the admin stuff, hospital placement, visits, documents, credit exemptions...
Luckily! Everything went just fine!
And then, back to my slacking lifestyle, just like December last year, home alone and enjoying the sofa, the musics, the movies all by myself~
Suddenly I felt like going to school soon!!! Ironic but I just want holidays to come faster~
So that I could see my dear frens soon~~~ wahahaha!!!

Last but not least, boooooo to uni for making us study during the World Cup 2010!!!

Er...should I booooo FIFA instead for organising the World Cup during exams period??
Hmmm.......
Anyway~ Luckily I will still have the chance to witness the finals, hopefully with laopenyou, ruru, chiawen, jiejie, yougor, aijia and even robao, aying, hl and wenwen!!!

Let's work hard together!!
Let's endure and motivate each other~
We'll have the glory~

Get all pumped up and exited, woohoo!!!
Wonderful life here I come~

The Bucket List

"Say"

Take all of your wasted honor
Every little past frustration
Take all of your so-called problems,
Better put 'em in quotations

Say what you need to say [x8]

Walking like a one man army
Fighting with the shadows in your head
Living out the same old moment
Knowing you'd be better off instead,
If you could only . . .

Say what you need to say [x8]

Have no fear for giving in
Have no fear for giving over
You'd better know that in the end
Its better to say too much
Then never say what you need to say again

Even if your hands are shaking
And your faith is broken
Even as the eyes are closing
Do it with a heart wide open

Say what you need to say [x24]

Just finished a movie called "The Bucket LIst"
It's called the bucket list because it simply means the stuffs you wanna do before "kickin' the bucket", meaning "to die"
Recommended by ChiaWen, both the song and the movie, nice pick!!

It's a story between two old men who are both in the final stage of their life
Met in a hospital ward as 2 total strangers...
Escaped the ward and head off for some crazy road-trips~
It all began with a bucket list, which was being written by Carter and picked up by Edward the next morning...
Together they compose this bucket list and set to achieve each of them before they kick the bucket......
Well, I wouldn't want to spoil the fun by writing anymore 'bout the story~
Definitely a movie worth watching! (Worth downloading as well :b)

Here's the bucket list:

  1. Witness something truly majestic
  2. Help a complete stranger for the good
  3. Laugh till I cry
  4. Drive a Shelby Mustang
  5. Kiss the most beautiful girl in the world
  6. Get a tattoo
  7. Skydiving
  8. Visit Stonehenge
  9. Spend a week at the Louvre
  10. See Rome
  11. Dinner at La Chevre d'Or
  12. See the Pyramids
  13. Get back in touch (previously "Hunt the big cat," added after being earlier added and crossed off)
  14. Visit the Taj Mahal
  15. Hong Kong
  16. Victoria Falls
  17. Go on a safari
  18. Drive a motorcycle on the Great Wall of China
  19. Sit on the Great Egyptian Pyramids
  20. Find the Joy in your life

how "Joy" is defined?

 how fast time could passby?
blink*, just like that!!

It'll be too late if you always think that "there's never too late"
~Say it out loud what you wanna say~

What's next? 2010!

"When will you go back to Australia?"
"er...erm...let me check...hmmm...NEXT TUESDAY!"

GOSH, without this random question asked by uncle, i wouldn't realise that I'll be going back on nx tuesday night to Adelaide ALREADY! LOL!

Like what I said in my earlier post, time flies while you're enjoying your life
And yea, I said it with great pride, that I've enjoyed my stay here in m'sia since I came back on 28th Dec
It has definitely been the greatest summer holiday of all time for me~
Both mentally and physically~
The fun let me forget and start to not worry about the stress ANYMORE
I've seen things in a whole new way, and of course problems were resolved because of it!
Friends and families taught me not to be so soft-hearted anymore, at least of which will harm me!!
Soft-hearted is fine, as long as it adds happiness to myself instead of stresses~
Right?? haha!!

Brother RouBao is serious about the definition of LOVE between friends!
Love is only love when there's no hidden feelings (here i mean bad feelings) behind the hugs and kisses~
Love is only love when I know I can talk anything I want and will not worry about hurting your feelings (well, there's always a limitation and WE KNOW THE BOUNDARIES) LOL!!
I love this kinda love which we talk and talk and talk without any worries at all~

With only a few days left before going back to Adelaide
I had a few thoughts about how I'm going to live the year 2010 there!!

First thing first, MONEY!!!
I know dad and mum won't want me to worry about the $$
But you know, 节省是美德, haha!!
And the main thing is because I've already had everything that I wished for in year 2009
Not to say that I worked hard to save up every single penny to buy the stuffs that I wanted
But with the assistance of dad's $$ and my own little earnings from doing online surveys, research studies, refereeing...
I managed to buy the stuffs with pride and say it's MINE! LOL!!
Now I have everything in terms of technology to make my life easier and enjoyable~
The trustworthy macbook pro that have never broken down on me for 2 years, the ultimate entertainment machine PS3, the truly awesome panasonic plasma tv, the great great sound experience from bose speakers...they are all my babies, and they never let me down! :b
Now you can see why am I talking about being thrifty now! haha!!
The other main reason for saving up is to ensure I have enough $$ for travelling!!!!!!
And of course, to visit my dear friends and have a great great time together with all of them~
Whether it's for travelling within Australia or even for New Zealand, USA or even Europe
These money are untouchable!! (Well, at least NO WAY for buying any tech products!)
And for me, the worst thing you can do while travelling is to be stingy when filling up your stomach!
Seriously I would give up some fancy hotel rooms for foods!! haha!!
Because I always believe that you've gotta try the foods wherever you go, it's simply unique and enjoyable to try different foods as you go~
Like dad always said, don't ever save your money when it comes to foods, I couldn't agree enough! lol!

Second thing of all, STUDIES~
I have to admit that I've never been a studious student in my life
And I guess I'll never be, :b LOL!!
I study in order to explore new things and thoughts, and most importantly, hoping to utilise the knowledge practically one day, whether in conversations or to help people
So I'll never be a researcher, I just can't sit still and try to figure something out in a lab :b
So...
I'll try to revise my notes more often~ I'll try, at least :b
But seriously, I need to, as my results are mainly beyond the great brink of FAIL, haha!!
I'm just a fortunate animal I must say~
Anyway, as I'll be having my sessions in Royal Adelaide Hospital soon during the semesters, I think the visits to the wards will boost my motivations from time to time
I'm greatly inspired by individuals who works in the hospital with a caring heart
Wonder if anyone watched the movie PATCH ADAMS acted by Robin Williams
He is definitely the kinda health professional I wanna be like one day in the future~
Together with my full-of-inspiration philosophy, happiness and mind are the most efficient medicines in the world!!! haha!!

Third of all, BASKETBALL~
Getting back in shape is definitely in my top list (well, it seems almost impossible now :b)
The foods that I ate have already become a tummy that will not just reveal itself after a meal but also any other time~ LOL!!
I guess it's not a bad thing too! It makes me bulkier and increased my surface area and volume so that I'll be tougher for the guys to handle now~
You know, the Newton's laws of motion rule in basketball court!! haha!!
But before all that, I know it's impossible to get back to 70kg anymore (well, it's too light anyway, I love my 78kg now and want more!!), so all I need to do is to convert the fat into muscles that can jump high and run fast~!!
It's not easy though, it requires dedication and perseverance...so I better be keep holding on, not to let my boys down! Give the opponents some hard time guarding me~ :b
Thank god I still have my brain (at least it's not blocked by fats, haha!!)

Well, that's three of them~
Above all, I wanna stay happy as I am now, or...even happier :b
I wanna be there for my dear friends, as you're all my source of happiness~
Don't forget me when you're in trouble as I didn't forget you~ :b haha!!
Thanks for 2009~ All the best for 2010~
We shall meet soon my friends and families~

And no worries at all

Was kinda StUpID to be troubled by all the stuff yesterday, aiks!

真的没那么简单

爱 只有简单笔画 却比想象中复杂

-stolen from yxian's fb status

My dad~

I love these ads and these kinda stories
It just tell us so much how our parents are committed to us
By looking on my posted link in fb, I discovered these two
No matter what they do, they do it for the better of us
I personally like the part where the dad teaches his son to fight
It reminds me of my dad a lot, he teaches me a lot of things
Just to make sure that I'm not bullied and 受委屈
Although I don't see him as often, but for every decision I make...
I see him in it~
We are like friends, we talk and we dream crazily about the future together :b
I've never seen him so happy for so long after he made this decision of changing his job
It has been years I see him so enthusiastic and hopeful for the future
I wished and I'm sure he will succeed, like he always does

Miss him so much, can't wait to see him tonight!!! haha!!
Before that...
Just nice to hang 'IN' with old friends roubao and huanhorng, plus HL@Perth from webcam~
LOL!!!
(Diagnosed that I have LOLAHA-disorder, like to LOL & HAHA a lot, but Dr. Ng said no cure...)

Happy People, Happy Stories...

Time passes by pretty quickly
Especially when you're enjoying them...
And it applies to me not just at the moment, but also the past few weeks!
It wouldn't be hard to accept that CNY is just around the corner, and I've been back for almost 1.5 months already...
I always say how I wished holiday would be longer, but now I would look back and say, What A Holiday it has been for me~ Can I just say, the best holiday so far~
The best holiday that I have so much lovely memories that I can carry and ignore the fact that it almost over...

First of all, Wonda brother went back to Minneapolis for the sake of his bright future
His short yet memorable holiday was well worth, once again, he has created a handful of memories
Although we were talking nonsense most of the time, but I enjoyed the company
Besides nonsense, we talked about future, we talked about earning big money, neither of us talked about studies, I guess we both have the mutual understanding that studying is just not our thing but a step that have to be taken in order to success, not that we don't care, we still strive for our best!
Good luck to him, and I'm sure the next time we come back to FoonYew together, is the time we help our school to build better TOILETS and facilities, seriously but LOL!

And then, the Wedding of PeiShan jie and You go!
I know both of them because of laopenyou, as PeiShan jie's brother is laopenyou
And we only met a few times in high school and once in Perth, together with LiWen jie and Albert go
But I guess it's the friendships between me and laopenyou that bring us together, I'm sure I'm always mentioned by laopenyou :b
For a few days before the wedding in JB, I was with PeiShan jie, You go and laopenyou almost all the time~
Since I'm in holiday, why not have them as company and help out with some preparations?
The main thing I did was to help and fold the lil cute paper box that contains sweets and chocs~
It's a hard thing to fold, but with each others' company, this seems like an enjoyable and productive chores to do, not tiring, yea i mean, AT ALL!
And definitely, it's fun to be around them, we joked and we laughed~
Through all this, I've also gained some experience and have a sneak peek of how a wedding is prepared
I've got to say, it's truly not an easy thing to do, even with the assistance of friends and families!
And you've just got to give PeiShan jie and You go TWO THUMBS UP for making it all possible!
I hardly see them sleep days before the wedding, they made non-stop phone calls to ensure everyone was invited and taken care of...
And yet they took care of me and laopenyou, made sure that we have our tummy filled up all the time , haha!
Ohyea, and I met You go's dad, he's definitely an uncle you want to be with!
He's kind, he's lovely, he's understanding and thus he's respected~

And then, here comes laopenyou's families from Bukit Mertajam~~~
The same like jiejie, I've only met uncle, auntie and the brothers for like ONCE?! before...
Amazingly, we got along together so well that seems like we knew each other years ago
They are all easy-going people who love to smile and laugh all the time
I guess that's what made us get along so well~
I didn't feel like an outsider when I was with them, which is definitely an awesome feeling that you can only wish and not ask for when you're in the situation that I was in!
Most of the time I was with laopenyou and tried my best to give a hand when needed
If not with laopenyou, then I was with ChiaWen, laopenyou's cute & funny cousin mostly~
ChiaWen is definitely the person you'll die to be with if you want non-stop laugh and chit-chat :b
Well, not just that, she's the one with no problem to get things done too!
It only gets crazier if you put 3 of us together! Yea I mean CRAZIER!
(I'll explain that further later...:b)

The wedding on 23rd January turned out to be a memorable night, not as expected I must say!
As our respected Johor Ruler passed away, we have to pay respect and turn the musics and noises down in the ballroom~
Which caused us to think that the wedding was gonna be very boring and awkward...
But we happy people figured a way through all this, we cut corners, we found shortcuts...and we succeed!
The wedding that includes almost 700 people turned out to be a great great night!
I must say it wasn't easy at all, once again~
Hmm...let's take note of some unforgettable moments:

a car ride from the car park to the hotel main entrance, driven by a drunk lady driver, terrified both me and huajie :b
also, a car ride from the car park to You go's house in uncle's Rexton driven by laopenyou, both me and chiawen sat quietly and we arrived at the destination unharmed, LOL!
being pushed to the back of uncle's car with ChiaWen & Yuyu by uncle, a plot set down by laopenyou and uncle, both of them high-5 when they met, haha!
the moment laopenyou phoned me that ChiaWen was actually in the hospital, I still warned him not to cheat me, LOL! Coincidently I was on the way home, reached there in 5 mins~

And last but not least, I truly appreciated the opportunity to meet people and make tons of friends through this wedding~ An amazing experience, that I would not forget!

Now, move to my Penang trip!!!!!!
Can I say? my third visits to Penang, and the best so far!
I followed laopenyou's family back together in uncle's car (luckily there's enough space to fit me in)
This was a trip with multiple stops, first YongPeng for bfast, then Putrajaya for laopenyou's documents , Batu Caves for lunch, Mentakab to drop PoPo off, halfway between Mentakab and Genting for yummy Duriansss, 100km before Ipoh for dinner, Taiping to drop me off~
It took us whole day, I bet it was tiring for uncle (he drove the most) and laopenyou (he drove at night), I just slept and only drove from YongPeng to Putrajaya :b

I stopped at Taiping for 2 days to visit my grandparents and relatives before heading off to BM
It's definitely nice to see my grandparents, aunt, uncles and cousins after a year apart~
Grandpa took me around the town for bfast and lunch the first day I was there...
The bfast and lunch gave me a sneak peek of how my life would be for the next week in Northern M'sia, yum yum and yum! haha!
As a grown up, grandpa talked to me about how to behave myself and to succeed in the future, he told me to do things step by step, not to gamble and be responsible.
And him as a chinese doctor, he urged me about what to eat and what not to eat, and also the way he treated many cancer cases and how his medicines work interestingly~
I truly enjoyed the moment together with him, and deep down in my heart, I made a promise that I must make him proud someday in the near future~
My 二姨&姨丈 took great care of me! LOL!
They brought me around for good foods and filled me up every single time~

In two days, I ate 4 plates of char kuay tiao, as they know it's my favourite~ and of course, tons of others!
My 2 days in Taiping passes by pretty quickly as I was asleep most of the time due to the effect of the alcohol in my grandpa's herbal medicine, haha! (which was thought to be able to treat my acne!!!)

There you go, 2 days in Taiping~
Took an hour bus trip that cost RM7.70 all the way to BM (cheap!)

ChiaWen and laopenyou came to Sg. Juru Tol to pick me up, luckily I didn't have to take a taxi :b
And since then, our fun began!
The first thing that I did when I reached laopenyou's house was to EAT!!!
Auntie prepared a tomyam steamboat, which was outstandingly D......elicious!
ChiaWen said that she was gonna put a lil CW tummy in me, I bet she was right and confident about it, LOL!
We eat and eat and eat~~~
After that, 3 of us went out...for FOODs again!
ChiaWen took us to her favourite Mang Zhang Kuey stall
The hawker was a old man, which seemed promising for taste! And comon', he was using charcoal to cook the kuey, it couldn't get any better!!!!!! And there's no need to describe how tasty is the Kuey already~ haha!
And then, we went to buy Rojak~ woohoooo~ It's a different kinda rojak where they have all the fruits and squids pierced on a satay stick~ YUM!
(Gosh, I should have taken some photos...but I guess I was too busy :b)
And then, we went to play bball!
Haven't played for 1 whole month, my thrist for bball had reached a new high, it just great to be able to sweat and laugh freely on the court again~
Although my skills were definitely rusty, but I still enjoyed it after all, guess it was the people that I was around with, haha!
Back home, after a great moment of bball, we started to eat again~ @.@
I could feel my appetite coming back slowly, as I had started to utilise my energy again instead of pooling them, LOL!

Moving house was something worth noted down as well~
We went and packed up the rubbish remained in laopenyou's old house and dumped them in the alley
While packing and picking up stuff, we saw a lot of 'animals', LOL!
Which scared ChiaWen till she stood on her toes, hahaha! Lizards~~~
Unfortunately!!! The rubbish that we packed were all opened and scattered all over the place just the next day we went back and checked out other stuff!!!
This forced us to repack -.-''', me, laopenyou and auntie, like people who zap lapsap~ lol!
We also helped to move the heavy flower pots to the new house~
Not tiring but the sweat was annoying!!! I bathed like 6 times a day for 2 straight day~ haha!

Let's just have a simple list of the foods that I've eaten for the past few days:
鸭蛋炒粿条
蟹肉炒粿条
猪杂粿条汤
Penang Laksa
福建虾面
Ice Kacang
炒BAALII (lol)
Flavoured Mang Zhang Kuey......
And much more!!!

OF COURSE, who would forget auntie's secret recipes?!?!
Please forgive me for not mentioning the menu, it's just too delicious to be mentioned~ (and also too many of them, haha!)

Sight-seeing wise, we went to Tokun Mountain!
Three young and enthusiastic youngsters woke up at 6.30 in the morning
Decided to conquer 大山脚的大山!
By the time we reach there, there was already quite a crowd
But most of them are elders, in their 30s, 40s, 50s and even older~
It took us quite a while to find a parking space as it was already crowded
As soon as we parked the car, we set off our journey to the top of the hill~~~
It was an immediate challenge as the first straight road was a steep one ALREADY!
5 mins later, I heard, "I can't make it d!"
WHAT!?!?!
haha, it was ChiaWen, then laopenyou kept on pushing her, and telling her not to stop~
Hi-5 for laopenyou for not giving her up, haha!
I must say the road climbing up wasn't easy as I first thought
And yet I saw so many old faces were on their way down back to the 'civilisation'
How could they make it!?
Ironically, three of us were there panting like old dogs! haha!
We stopped and we continued, but the thought of givin' up were never close
At least with the persistence of laopenyou :b
In the end, we spent like almost 1.5 hrs to reach the top~ Bravo!
But sadly, the top of the hill doesn't have the stunning scenery as anticipated, but a few huge comm tower and tall tall trees!
However, we were proud of ourselves for reaching the top, at least we can say that we reached there~ haha!

And for memories, we took a few leaves home, which one of them is pretty unique, we didn't notice any other plant that grows the same leaves as this one on our way down~
By the time we reached the bottom of the hill, it was already quite late and we quickly went back and get ready for brunch!
DIM SUM for brunch~ woohoo~ once again, ate till super full~

A day before we have to head back to JB
We finally got the chance to go over to Penang Island itself!
After buying the stuff we need and eating, we decided to head up to Bukit Bendera as all 3 of us haven't been there before~ Shua Gu indeed!
I always thought the speed of the train was gonna be super fast and exiting, but instead, it was super slow! lol! It seemed like it was gonna be very fast though from outside @.@
But the scenery on the way up was quite nice and worth the ride~
And once again, I can say that I have been to Bukit Bendera before~!
There were quite some space on the top of the bukit, there are accommodations, a mosque, an indian temple, a bird park, some hawker stalls, and lotssssss of hugeeee spiders, hanging just above your head as you walked by....yikes~~~~~~
Here's the photos!

And at night, we went to a movie~
Jackie Chan's latest movie, A Spy Next Door!
Critics said that it isn't a good movie if measured in Jackie's standard
But I must say even there's less action scenes, there's more words by him that we can take down and remember~ And bonus! It's a funny movie! I just love comedy~~~
Pity laopenyou didn't really get to enjoy the movie to the fullest, as YuYu was nagging during the movie, lol!

And finally, time to face reality and head back home!
5 days just seem too short with so much fun, wished I could stay there longer :b
However, I truly enjoyed it and it's great to go to Penang again after so many years
The atmosphere and environment there are different compared to JB, I couldn't even put it in words, I jus enjoyed there~
I met funny uncle, kind auntie, 2 funny aunties, funny ahpo, lovely ahpo, funny brother and naughty yuyu~
Thanks uncle auntie for taking care of me for these few days, made sure my stomach is filled~
And most importantly, our best driver (lol), tour guide, and sister ChiaWen~
3 of us surely had lotsa fun that we'll never forget~!!!
We must get together someday again~ lol!
