Think, Dream, Do

Yes, another week has gone by, swishhhh, just like that
Time always pass by quickly during exams period
The sun just disappear so quickly, and so does the warmth
Maybe it's winter's effect, maybe not, maybe it's because I was too concentrated in studies and/or surfing the net -.-'''
Yea, about the whole "surfing the net" thing, the only effective way to get rid of it is to go to the library! Or maybe force myself to close the lid of my laptop (this works quite well for me too, but rather sad, have to do all kind of stuff to prevent me finding myself behind the schedule)
Well I guess this happens to most of the people, but somehow we got thru', right??
It's amazing how much people have to care about these days and still manage to get things done
Erm...well maybe not as "perfect" as the old guys, but still, see! We made it, somehow...
Technology, you just gotta love it and hate it at the same time

Bill Gates and Steve Jobs, you two changed the world~ I salute you!

Adelaide's always the slowest place...
Whether it's holiday or exams...we always end up late...
Facebook, another great invention for people to share their joy and sorrow with others in the world
We, Adelaide people, forced to share people's joy while we're trying to vent our sorrow
Anyway, it's fair, we spend less money and earn more here~ :b

As far as I'm concerned, exams are going...uhhh...fine? (better be)
Yea, all I want is a pass, that's what I aim for really, anything else, SURPRISE!
Erm, yea, that's a bit demotivated, but hey, not like I'm giving up or something
I'm here to save people, not study for exams (ignore me, this is loser's talk, LOL)
Well seriously, I make sure I gave my best everytime in the hall

Applying basketball mentality, I'm not gonna back down from no challenge
Hard work = Success
Play like every minute's my last..........
This list can go on forever~
That's how I motivate myself, putting every possible situation on the court and evaluate them
To keep myself happy ^^

So, guess what? I bounced the orange ball today~ Finally after...uhhh...one and a half weeks?
LONG enough~ Don't care!
Tried to get people to the court, no one wanted to entertain my passion~
Well, go by myself and play with some chinese guys? Why not?
After a 15 mins walk...reached my destination~
Met some guys, and started to play some pick up games
It's been a while for me, to play half court games casually
I must say, I felt good and it was fun! Even with the guys that I just met like a few minutes ago
I just felt that if you meet one guy, just that one guy, who knows how to pass the rock and cut through the lane, you would be a happy man all day
It's like a feeling of acceptance, it's like you're part of something big
It's like...uhhh...that there's some kinda connections going on there
It's just that magical feeling~
And we appreciate each other!
We all would go "awwwwww..." for a "going-to-be-a-great-great-pass-but-missed"
And of course "awwwhhhhhh..." for a "HUGE block"
That's how we roll~ LOL~
What more can I say after all that nonsense above??? Did you get me??? Did you get me???
Maybe not...I guess...haha!!
Man, I love basketball~
It picks you up when you're down, it keeps you going in life, no matter you're playing it or not

Another inspiring story~
Received a phone call from sydney last night
LPY and Ruyun told me that the car rental fees are wayyyyy too high as they've missed the time to make a booking...
Yea, as always, I thought they (especially LPY) were talking nonsense and didn't pay attention and just simply said "How much more expensive it's gonna be?"
"The company only has Camry left"
"How much more expensive??"
"About $8000 lo" (if I remembered correctly...)
"-.-'''...Talk seriously!!!!!! I don't have much time to waste!!!!"
"We bought a car lah"
"Yea right, dun waste my time!"
I heard Ruyun at the background "He didn't believe you!!! hahaha!!"
"I really bought a car!!!"
I was like...really??? At that time, I still didn't buy their so called "nonsense"
"Now I will only believe you if I see the photos! I don't know which sentence that come out from your mouth that I can believe..."
"LOL"

And there you go...they've made it!!!
I'm so happy for them, and also, happy for myself :b
Well seriously, so happy for them!!! After all this hard work, they've made it there~
There, as in what I called "One of the major Bridgestone in life"
Which is buying a car with your own money
Congrats to you two! You definitely deserve it, and I must say......

You would have done it earlier if...LPY didn't eat as much...LOL :b
This is what I called "Think, Dream and DO!"

One year closer to graduation, one year closer to reality
I've always told myself that these two years are gonna be the major decision making years for me

You either strike early or you wait...
Getting life experiences has been my first priority for these few years
I don't mind getting paid less, I don't mind travel an hour by bus to get things done
I just want that life experience, to work with people that I might not have the chance to work with in the future again
Because I know, I won't have much time to experience life in this way pretty soon (well, at least not as much chances as I do now)
Honestly, I have always treated my current job as a way to earn myself more pocket money
But Rod (our boss) gave me a different view to this matter, he's the one who kinda made me wanna do my best and not slacking off when doing my job
"With the progress you're making, I can guarantee you big and better things in the future"
Of course, what he meant was in refereeing world
But how about "life" wise? Do I treat life seriously enough to be eligible for this kinda comment?
Hmmmm...a question to think about......

Think, Dream, Do
No matter what's in the way

P.S. Watched "She's out of my league", nice nice movie, recommended! Never think you're not good for him/her, when he/she likes you, you're as good as 10/10 no matter if you're really a 5/10 guy/girl.

Tidy up and Recharge

9 more days to go till the end of my dreadful exams period
Been taking studies easily, hopefully not TOO easy that it turns out bad
I like the feeling of finish studying when it comes to the end of a day (no matter if I do remember anything or not sometimes :b)
Rewarding myself with a nice relax time, sitting there, watching movie or listening to musics
Whenever I was doing this, I always thought out our math teachers in foonyew (mr. tan & mr. lee, two of the greatest and most powerful math teachers of all time)

They talk about relaxing before an exam a lot and eventhough they don't hope much of us believing in them, they would still keep preaching this concept once in a while, telling us it's actually beneficial by telling us that they used to go to cinema usually the day right before the exam (especially the math exam, cos they're math geniuses! LOL!)
Well, I've been adapting to this pattern of study for years, not that I did well in my previous exams, but at least I felt good and relax when stepping into the exam venue
So...I think, it's good to continue this 'tradition' for me

In contrast, you've gotta embrace the pressure on the basketball court
I like pressure situation and I feed on it, especially when the crowd is LOUD
It's been a blessing to know Joe and Allen, my two basketball senior in Adelaide
And it's also terrific to know that they have high hopes in me
Regarding me as the 1st option just after two of them in the team

During a time before a game two weeks ago, Joe talked to me in the changing room
He said I have to step up and recognise the situation when he (Joe) can't make any play and score
He said they (Joe and Allen) will turn to me and hand the ball to me and hoping that I can make things happen
And he can only tell me this in the changing room privately, as he wants everybody to be content in the team, and not being jealous of one another, especially in a young team like ours
That short moment gave me tremendous strength and confidence
To step on the court, encouraged and ready to make a difference

I've never had this kinda encouragement in years, since my last game in foonyew...
I started that unforgettable game as a bench player, got in the court after 5 or 6 minutes of the 1st quarter
I had a nice shooting touch that day and all of my first few shots went in
Coach got confident in me and let me stayed on the court and we kept the scores tight until the 4th quarter
During the last timeout, coach said to me, "Tell them to give you the ball, see what you can do and make a 3 pointer!"

To be honest, I almost cried that time -.-'''
Weird I know but I've never felt so trusted before, that's why I was so emotional
In the end, we lost the game, but I'll always remember that one last game

I've had trouble trusting people
It only becomes a little bit better these few years
And yet I demand so many trust from others
Because I like the feeling of being trusted

己所不欲,勿施于人

This 8 words by Confucius kinda guided me in times when a decision is needed to be made

So tired physically and mentally these days, been thinking a lot of nonsense, and also picturing beautiful moments in my head
Well I think I deserved it @.@, for day-dreaming too much!!!

My short-term goal:
1. Do well in exams
2. Win the next coming up bball game against the strongest opponent
3. Win Canberra MASCA bball championship
4. Save up for a new MacBook Pro for sis
5. Get enough sleep

Long-term goal:
1. Learn to trust others more
2. Be more determined
3. Learn to tolerate more and complain less
4. Continue to give help whenever needed
5. Be a good son, good brother, good boyfriend, good husband, good dad and GOOD PERSON
6. Be happy, no matter what~

(++Watson's mum's here, NON STOP DELICIOUS FOOD during EXAMS PERIOD++)
(Tell me I'm Lucky!!! LOL!!!)

P.S. I dunno what's my point in the last post :S, so...you know, people lost their mind sometimes :b

Thoughts...

You'll only get what you want once in a while, that's life and I guess that's fine~

You can always reach out for a hand, or even give a hand when someone else needs it

Who knows what's waiting at the next corner?

We put our trust in our hands, and it's always gonna be a bright future

Make your choices and never look back, stories shall be written

We fall, we cry and we get back up again
We tell the truth, we look into the eyes
And always remember...

Life's about a journey, not a destination......
It's about what you leave behind, not what you have in the end

Lakers did it again!!!

The LA Lakers, are once again world champion of the NBA!!!

Squad led by Kobe Bryant, pulled off a great show in the 2nd half of the championship deciding Game 7 of the NBA Finals~ (Thanks god, phew :b)

Ron Ron, did what he supposed to do...

Pau, simply terrific...

Derek, made the game changing 3 pointer...

Lamar, when he plays well, Lakers win...

Bynum, great warrior despite knee injury, I salute you...

Sasha, "The Machine" sinked two most important free throws of the entire game...

Kobe, in the end, trusted his teammates and passed them the ball, that's when they start to win!!!

I'm no good an analyst
But I'm a great Lakers fan!!!
So happy I went to the sports bar this afternoon, despite Dosage Form Design exam is just less than 24 hours away
With Allen, Lewis and Andy, we shouted together with probably another 100 Lakers and Celtics fans
Every single point since the 3rd quarter ends with lotsa exclamation mark!!!!!!!!!!

(How nice to have your family cheering for you while you're at work~~~ Envy~~~)

Congrats Lakers, congrats Kobe, for getting one step closer to MJ
Let's do it again next season!

Thanks Lakers, your success somehow motivated me, to do well in my exams, LOL :b
Celtics, should be given credit too, they are a great team, which clearly demonstrated what teamwork means in sports! Say a big huge NO to all the individual players out there who just wanna score!

Hope I can carry this luck to my Church League matches and also this year's MASCA game, we must win and bring the crown back to South Australia!!!

Passion, find it in Risk

"The whole point of love is to put someone else's needs above your own"

Picked it up from the movie "When In Rome"

I just simply like this statement......
I found myself wordless, to elaborate on that
Maybe because the words are so true, true in a way that there's no need for explanation
Or maybe, I'm just not fit enough yet, to comment on that
Either way, which I think they're both true to me, I'll keep it in mind
And remind myself, at every single possible moment when a quick "wake up call" is needed
This statement~

To the person I love and will love
To the people I cherish and will cherish
To the promises I've made and will make
To the things I work hard on, now and the future

And deep inside, I'll keep on believing, that the good things will come
If I just continue to believe......
And always ready to sacrifice in order to seek my passion in the sea of risks~

Extraordinary Measures

Another nice true story~
After the featured "The Blind Side"
Here comes "Extraordinary Measures"
A movie inspired by the book "The Cure" by Geeta Anand

The story talks about a father's strive to keep his both of his children with Pompe Disease alive

Pompe disease: built up of glycogen in the lysosome due to deficiency of the lysosomal acid-alpha glucosidase enzyme, leading to damage in muscle and nerve cells, ultimately causing diseased children wheelchair bound and short lifespan due to organs enlargements.

The movie utilises various medical and pharmaceutical terms that I've learnt over this half of the year in quality use of medicines (QUM)
One term that kinda illustrated the dark side of pharmaceutical companies is "Acceptable Loss", which means the number of death that is considered acceptable for this drug to be considered as efficient.
Company, essentially is equivalent to "making money", there is no difference between pharmaceutical company and any other companies out there
They look at drugs as something that make them money, which apparently is realistic...but what about life-saving??
Is life-saving simply means "more money" to the shareholders?
Well, sad to say, mostly YES
But I also hope to say that there's still people who CARES about LIFE out there~
People like Mr. Crowley (father of two Pompe children), would do anything to save his children's life
Yes, this might be for the life of his children...so what about Dr. Stonehill (Which actually is Dr. William Canfield), although the enzyme that he developed was not used in the end, but he demonstrated the spirit of health research, CURE PATIENTS!!!
No selfish thoughts AT ALL~ This distinguished himself from the pack...

I love the idea, LOVE IS COLOUR BLIND
We, as human race, we wear the same smile
No matter who you are and where you come from
We do everything to improve OUR life

A recent encounter, two people of different perspective towards one's origin
Isaac, my buddy in everything basketball here in Adelaide
Also a much better referee than me
He met an incident a few days ago......
There was this argument between his partner Greg (another referee) and another irritated player (because his 'flop' wasn't called)
And Isaac stepped in and back Greg up by saying that the perceived foul was not a foul at all
And the angry player made a serious comment about Isaac's ethnicity, "You don't know anything about basketball, you're chinese!"
This comment made Greg thought of Yao Ming instantly and of course, flared him up and he responded "Get out of the court immediately, you xxx xxx racist piece of xxxx", a comment which could potentially cost him his job (referees are not meant to swear, we are meant to keep players calm)
And of course, the angry player got even angrier...and he left the court......
Well, what did you see there??
What I saw, is LOVE IS COLOUR BLIND
Greg stood up against another individual of his own skin colour for Isaac
And risk his job to protect Isaac's dignity
After hearing the story, I was touched by Greg's action, which according to him, was nothing but just a good venting session...
I've always admired the spirit of UNITY as a human race, but only able to witness them thru' TV screens...
This is the first time I met this kinda situation in real life~
Which is AMAZING to tell~

People come to this world for the good of other people
I kinda like this~^^
